San Pasqual Fiduciary Trust Company is the only California-based trust company dedicated to providing trustee-only services.

Trustee Services

Our firm combines the best qualities of a private trustee – personalized service, attention to detail, and a focus on our clients’ well-being–along with the security and continuity of a regulated, state-chartered financial institution.

Our professionals have extensive experience with trusts funded with unique assets including commercial and residential real estate, closely held businesses, limited partnership interests, intellectual property and music royalty interests, water rights, oil-and-gas interests, art, jewelry, furnishings and other high-value unique assets, as well as stocks, bonds and other marketable securities.

Trust Administration

We administer many types of trusts. These include family trusts, charitable trusts, and private foundations. We also serve as a court-appointed “neutral” trustee, and we administer trusts and estates as an executor or trustee in post-death circumstances.

Fiduciary Process

We currently hold assets managed by more than 50 different investment firms and financial institutions. We focus on asset allocation and performance monitoring, taking into consideration the unique purpose of each trust and the circumstances of each beneficiary.

Estate Planning Advisory

We often collaborate with our client’s existing team including their estate planner, accountant and other advisors to implement the goals and objectives of each trust.

About Us / Why SPFTC

San Pasqual Trust offers our clients the added assurance and tangible advantages that come from working with a trustee-only financial institution.

INDEPENDENCE: We never sell investment products and services. Instead, we provide our clients with truly impartial fiduciary service. Many trust companies are more interested in providing asset management as a primary focus of their trust relationship and often utilize proprietary funds and strategies. Because they derive a fee from asset management, they are less inclined to use third-party investment managers–even when that approach may benefit the trust and trust beneficiaries.

SINGULAR FOCUS: We devote our skills, expertise, and resources to trust administration and management.

TEAMWORK: Our trust professionals work as a team with carefully chosen third-party investment firms or with an investment advisor who has an established relationship with the client or family establishing the trust. This collaboration engenders both consistency and continuity.

RESPONSIVENESS: With our low client-to-professional loading, we are available to answer questions or discuss concerns. We do not have an 800 number, and client calls are never routed to a “help desk.” Our clients have a designated team of professionals assigned to each trust relationship.

FLEXIBILITY: Our clients experience less “red tape” than they may encounter elsewhere. We streamline our decision-making for our clients’ benefit.

OVERSIGHT: We continually monitor the performance of the investment professionals managing trust assets and are prepared to replace an investment firm if such action is in the best interests of the trust and trust beneficiaries.

Senior Leadership

Our senior staff are veteran trust professionals with decades of experience as estate planners, financial managers and private fiduciaries.
