Operations Specialist

San Pasqual Fiduciary Trust Company is the only California and Nevada-based trust company dedicated to providing trustee-only services. We do not sell investment products, which enables us to provide our clients with truly impartial fiduciary service. We devote our skills, expertise, and resources to trust administration and management. We are a small but growing firm located in Downtown Los Angeles, California and Reno, Nevada.

We are seeking someone to join our Trust Operations Team. This is a full-time position and provides the opportunity to learn about trusts, which includes components of banking, trust and estate law, and asset management.

No prior knowledge of trust operations is required. The ideal candidate would show potential for future growth within the company.

Please note that this position has a HYBRID office/remote schedule. It is NOT 100% remote, and employees are expected to report to the Los Angeles office as needed.

While some entry-level job experience is desired, no prior knowledge of trust administration is required. However, a professional demeanor with interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality is a must. You would work as part of a team, assisting with the administration of various trust accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile cash and asset positions on a daily basis
  • Communicate with investment partners
  • Navigate 3rd party platforms including Fidelity, Merrill Lynch, and Schwab
  • Post transactions to trust accounts in accordance with the Uniform Principal and Income Act
  • Provide support to trust administration professionals
  • Produce and review daily financial reports
  • Affirm stock and bond trades
  • Research and set up securities
  • Other duties as required

Educational and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Emphasis in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Math preferred)
  • 1 year of work experience (may be any industry, but preferably in an office setting)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Familiar with Adobe Acrobat

$25.00/hour. Some overtime typically available after completion of training period. Eligible for a raise and/or bonus during annual review based on job performance.
